In the home stretch

Well, here we go into the home stretch. Only one more week of actual school work. This class has been fun, but I will be glad for this session to be over. Mainly because of Math, yuck! The professor for that class is awsome but, knowing I will not be a math teacher or physics teacher I will not use 99% of the math. Its also been a wild session for this class. Everyone has been sick, there has been surgery, a baby born. No one can say its been uneventful. Our professor has been fantastic. Allot of new friends have been made. I know what I have learned in this class will help me in my further writing.

The End is Near

Wow! Can you believe its week seven already?. The time is flying by during this semester. I have enjoyed this class and our teacher. It makes life alot easier when you have a teacher the explains things and actually care for her students. I think this project will go well for all of us. I am looking forward to all the feed back to see where I can improve my paper. Everyone have a great week!

surgery

Well surgery is over. It went well. The anest. about killed me. Ive never thrown up so much in my life. Now I feel like Ive been run over by a truck. Im sure it will pass too. I just wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers. Now we wait for the results.

week 6

Well here we are again, another week flown by. Well tomarrow is the big day, surgery. I will be so glad to get this over with and find out the results. I hope I can concentrate enough to get my paper written for this class. Im doing pretty good in here and do not want to blow it because of this surgery. Well I am staying positive, all will be good.

busy week coming up

What a busy week coming up. Doing homework today. Have pre-op monday and mammogram for surgery thursday. Trying to get a little ahead on my school work incase I get admitted Thursday. I should'nt if all goes as planned. I will be home in the afternoon. Been researching family history for my surgeon to see if breast cancer is on either side of my family. Being adopted made it a bit harder. I found my birth fathers family and its not an issue on that side and its not an issue on my mothers side either. So maybe that is a blessing. Hope everyone's week is going well. I really like this Comp class.

its a gray day

What a day out. Its all gray and rainy. its almost 80 so its muggy too. Doing homework, hope I got it right. This APA stuff stinks. I understand we need it but it sure makes writing difficult. Should just be able to write, let it flow. Does anyone else feel like this? I do like this class. This is the first session at Kaplan that both instructors are helpful, that sure helps.

plagiarism

I think I would have to do somthing legally if someone use my writing without permission. It would have to be a outright deliberate act. I would not have an issue with students citing my work. Thats part of learning, but someone doing it for finacial gain or academic recognition like a professor , then I would have a problem. I think its ok if someone has your permission or is giving you the proper credit for the work. I know as a student, I have not used some information for fear I could not figure out how to cite it right. It can be difficult to remember all the APA rules. I think you should just be able to write the persons name and that information on a reference page and be done with it. That way they get their proper credit and you do not have to remember what to cite where.
